The Decemberists - "Rise to Me"

The Decemberists - "Rise To Me"

I don't know this song....I know this!

What do all these words mean?  These streambirds, all the valleys are full?

*She starts dancing with her shoulders moving side to side.*

It rises on me.  He's going to stand by ground, and its going to blow me down.  He's saying, 'Oh Henry, can you hear me?' It means look at me.  The boy wants you to stand by me and to go down down down.  And now it's just music. It sounds like a trumpet and drums...

Now they're both singing. Now the boy wants to hear her say something.

*Starts singing along.*

It's blowing him down *wiggling fingers down like rain fall*.

....and a guitar, it sounds like!  It makes me want to tidy.

Note from Mum:  I told her this was a special song to me, so I wanted her to listen carefully.  She replied, 'Not it's not.  Songs are not special.'

The Polyphonic Spree - "Together We're Heavy"

The Polyphonic Spree - "Together We're Heavy"

It sounded sad.  Where does the music come from?  It's getting a bit scarier and sadder.  *Hides her eyes.*  It's making me feel scared.

*Eyes widen and she smiles.*  It's getting happier now!  And it sounds like somebody's meeted [sic].

It sounds like lots of different and different songs.  It sounds like some happy and some sad.

Dismemberment Plan - "Life of Possibilities"

Dismemberment Plan - "Life of Possibilities"

It makes me feel like a boy is doing something, but it's kinda difficult to him.

It sounds happy in my ears.

I don't know what the "secret" was.  I know he doesn't know the way.  It makes me think of things that are coming out new.

I like it.

Imogen Heap - "Say Goodnight and Go"

Imogen Heap - "Say Goodnight and Go"

I like it. I like it. I do actually. I want that song all over again. Again again again.  I love it.

Note from Mum:  I won't let her watch the video again.  I asked her what the song was about, she looked at me like I was an idiot and said, 'A wind-up toy.'  Lesson learned.

Also, don't forget to leave a comment!

Magnetic Fields - "Sweet Lovin' Man"

Magnetic Fields - Sweet Lovin' Man

I know that song. And I think the sun rises on me everyday. And I think that two people are in love. That's all. And I know that people are traveling away.
